Neuried - The duel between the two traditional teams of Fortuna Cologne and SpVgg Unterhaching in the Neurieder Sportpark with several former football professionals aroused great audience interest on Saturday.
Up to 200 people at the top were present at the charity game for the “Kicken für Kinder” association to promote youth welfare and sport, which particularly supports seriously ill and disabled children.
In the Hachinger 10-2 victory, numerous goals were scored - and outside the field of play, money was collected, barbecued and lively exchange sought.
According to Jürgen Fritz, member of the board of “Kicken für Kinder”, around 1,500 euros were raised.
Benefit in Neuried: Money should go to the “JoMa-Projekt” association from Weßling
“It was a very nice event and it was very popular.
And the event was extremely well organized ”, praised Fritz.
The money is to go to the Weßlinger association "JoMa-Projekt".
TSV Neuried was primarily responsible for the on-site organization.
Martin Trissler, youth leader and technical director, had put together a team of around 20 people together with managing director Michaela Schotte.
Whether senior players at the barbecue, youth table football at the entrance or trainers at the side: the best framework conditions for the charity event were ensured.
Benefit game at TSV Neuried: "We hope to repeat it"
In the end it was a successful afternoon for Trissler.
“We would definitely do something like this again.
After such an event you are grounded again and you know what it means when children are doing well or very badly. "
“Kicking für Kinder” started the event at short notice instead of a small field tournament in Germering that was canceled due to corona.
"For the fact that it was held for the first time and that it was launched at short notice, it was really great," said Fritz.
"We thank everyone involved for the support and hope for a repeat."
