Bentley will replicate the successful Mulliner Bacalar operation, the two-seater sports car of which 8 units of the 12 planned have already been produced and all already sold for 1.6 million euros each.
It will do so with the new model - called Batur, like a lake in Indonesia - which should resume Bacalar's concept of sportiness, transferring it to the world of super-luxury coupes with extreme customization.
As will be discovered on August 21, when the Batur will be unveiled at Monterey Car Week (it is the same date as the famous Peeble Beach Concours d'Elegance), the operation that Bentley will manage with the 'Created dy Mulliner' presonalisszioni division could also serve to reveal some of the stylistic choices that the House of Crewe - which has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 1998 - intends to make for its next 100% electric models.
Industry experts, reports Autocar magazine which also reconstructed the possible appearance of Batur, believe that in Bentley's future, the role of Mulliner (a division named after a famous British coachbuilder founded in 1897) will continue to grow in particular regarding the Beyond100 plan which aims at total electrification of the brand by 2030.
