"Flins must not close," said the Minister of Economy on Europe 1 Friday morning. This assertion will not be denied. Under the terms of the massive savings plan that Renault must unveil next week, the Flins plant in the Yvelines will stop producing cars, but its activity should be converted, within the group's perimeter. The reconfiguration of the industrial tool of the Rhombus is thus done at a lower social, and symbolic cost. Flins, unlike three other smaller sites (Choisy-le-Roi, Dieppe and Caudan) will not close.
