The bodies of a 75-year-old woman and her husband were found dead overnight Wednesday through Thursday. The first elements of the survey

Two inert bodies, probably inanimate for several days, a hunting rifle and unanswered questions.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the firefighters discovered a couple in their seventies at his home, an apartment located in the Aguilera district in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), according to our colleagues from France Bleu Pays basque.

The bodies of the woman, 75, and her husband, 77, were discovered after a relative worried about the lack of news presumably raised the alarm.

Neighbors claim to have heard nothing of the tragedy which dates back several days, according to the prosecution.

An upcoming autopsy

The first elements of the investigation, entrusted to the police of the Bayonne police station, seem to direct the track of the investigators towards a feminicide followed by a suicide, according to the prosecution.

The man allegedly killed his wife before turning the gun on him.
