THE CAFÉ DE PARIS ****

An institution in Biarritz.

The Café de Paris, taken over by former ski champion Annie Famose and her children Sarah and David Brémond, has just received a total makeover thanks to the talent of decorator Sarah Lavoine.

A small establishment with only nineteen rooms, but all of them enjoy a panoramic sea view.

The suites on the top floor have terraces overlooking the Grande Plage, the Hôtel du Palais and the lighthouse.

Of course, we recognize Sarah Lavoine's paw, her iconic blue on the ceilings of the restaurant and in touches, on the carpets of the rooms.

A relaxed seaside house vibe that plays on details with woven straw panels, terracotta-colored porcelain stoneware tiles and hammam showers in the bathrooms.

The icing on the Basque cake, the restaurant menu is signed by Michelin-starred chef Cédric Béchade.

Located right in front of the Asiatica Museum, the hotel offers 78 rooms including a 26m² family suite and a 70m² apartment. The rooms do not bear a number but the name of the author's works. It almost feels like the countryside, yet the Saint Julien is only a few minutes walk from the Les Halles district. But, the view of Mazon Park gives it a bucolic air. In Saint-Julien, the impression of a family home is immediate. The parquet floor of the stairs creaks underfoot, the living room at the entrance to the left with its fireplace tells us that on rainy days, we will be happy to curl up in the leather sofas and that the table football a little away will keep the kids busy for hours. Breakfast gives pride of place to local products.

The two largest between 40 and 70 m² have taken up residence on the top floor. Equipped with huge terraces they have a breathtaking view of the ocean. The rooms on the lower floors have a patio. A swimming lane in the heart of a green space with very colorful recycled PVC garden furniture from the AMES brand. The wood and metal wardrobes were made by Blunt, a carpenter from Biarritz.
