Biden: Cuomo should quit 1:04
(CNN) -
President Joe Biden said Tuesday that he believes New York Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign after an investigation by the New York attorney general found that Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women.
"I think he should resign. I understand that the state legislature may decide to impeach him. I don't know for sure," Biden said in response to a question from CNN's Kaitlan Collins.
Earlier Tuesday, Attorney General Letitia James said her office's investigation found that Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women.
The bureau found that Cuomo harassed current state employees and former employees, as well as several women from outside the state government, James said, as the bureau released a lengthy report on the investigation.
James said Tuesday that his investigation found that Cuomo engaged in "unwanted and non-consensual touching" and made comments of a "suggestive" sexual nature.
In addition, it maintained that the conduct created a "hostile work environment for women."
When asked if he thinks Cuomo should be impeached, Biden said "take one thing at a time."

The president was also asked if he approved of Cuomo's office using a photo of him hugging other officials and citizens in the past as part of the governor's defense.
Biden said he is sure there are "some hugs that were totally innocent, but apparently the attorney general decided there were things that were not."
Biden said he had not spoken to Cuomo on Tuesday.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki had previously called the sexual harassment allegations "abhorrent."
