33-year-old Chemtai Salpeter came to run, after giving up the marathon run, which she ran last month at the World Championships, in which she won a bronze, but came to defend her title in this run, which she won four years ago, when she eventually crossed the line The finish with 30:46.37 minutes.
This result was enough for her to take third place overall, when Turkey's Yasmin Chan won the gold medal with 30:32.57 seconds and the British Alice McCollgan was second with 30:41.05 minutes
In the same run, Slamvit also participated in Ioline Tepri, who earlier today saw her husband Maro win the runners-up of the European Marathon Championships, when she managed to finish in fifth place with 31:24.03 minutes.

As a reminder, until today, Israel counted five medals "only" at the European Championships in Athletics - with Chemtai's gold in 2018 in Berlin, for 10,000 meters, in Amsterdam in 2016 Hana Minenko took the bronze in the triple jump, at the European Championships in Zurich in 2014 Sanford won the bronze medal in the 400 meter run, and in the European Championships and two of them by pole vaulter Alex Aberbuch, who won gold medals in 2002 and 2006.
