A few days before Black Friday, an Amazon customer made a disturbing discovery on her account.

The shipping giant Amazon is not only popular with customers on Black Friday because of its offers.

It is all the more worrying when you discover activities in your Amazon account during Black Friday week for which you are not responsible.

This is what happened with an Amazon customer who shared her experience this week on the Amazon Germany Facebook page and asked for help.

"This morning after getting up I suddenly had five orders from Amazon, even though I haven't placed an order," said the customer, describing her problem with the online giant.

So were the orders automatically placed by Amazon without the customer's knowledge?

Or did an unknown third party even get access to your profile?

At least one other Facebook user, who responded to the description of the problem with a suspicion, expected the latter.

“It is more likely that you have been hacked,” said the user.

A hacked Amazon account shortly before Black Friday is certainly a nightmare scenario for many users.

But the online giant’s customer service also kicks in shortly afterwards and has a different theory for the origin of the orders.

The customer could accidentally have taken out a savings subscription for certain products when purchasing.

Amazon offers this primarily for consumables such as shampoos or printer cartridges.

The customers then receive the product at regular intervals and also receive a small discount.

The subscription is only activated with a simple click when purchasing and can therefore easily be started unintentionally.

And customer service's suspicions were actually confirmed.

"I actually had an active savings subscription," explains the customer in a further comment and says that she has not been an Amazon customer for a long time.

A comparatively harmless solution could therefore be found for the situation, which at first glance was unsettling.
