It was after discovering a large quantity of plastic floating in the middle of the ocean during a sailboat trip around the world that Priscille Charton decided to act to preserve the planet.
A change of course that she first tried to stimulate in the large international cosmetics group for which she worked in London.
Without success.
“There were too many short-term and financial demands,” she laments.
This is what decided her to create her own committed beauty brand in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) with two other co-founders, Julien Callede and Marin Susac.
Biodegradable ingredients
A new adventure that brought her to Brittany.
Blush, lipstick, eye shadow, Eclo products are organic, vegan, waterless and therefore preservative-free, designed and produced in the region.
The ingredients are exclusively of natural origin and biodegradable.
They have not only been selected for their benefits for the skin but also for the soil and seabed, according to the principle of regenerative agriculture.
“We are the first in France to do so.
For us, having a positive impact means not only choosing natural ingredients but also giving back to the earth what we take from it,” explains Priscille Charton, who works in partnership with the association Pour une agriculture du vivant.

The make-up range is thus formulated from brown algae, rye or even Breton hemp, a plant whose cultivation does not require pesticides and which is also known for its soil depolluting properties.
In order to go to the end of the environmental approach, Eclo product packaging is entirely made from a combination of plants and wood.
No plastic and chemical residue.
They are 100% biodegradable or compostable.
The products are marketed in a dozen stores in France and online on Eclobeauty.com.
