All four occupants of two cars that collided head-on on Sunday (May 15) on the B 13 near Kurzenberg, not far from Holzkirchen, suffered serious injuries.
The main road was completely closed for 1.5 hours.

– A helicopter landed, the main road was closed: A serious accident occurred on Sunday (May 15) on the B 13 south of Großhartpenning near the hamlet of Kurzenberg.
According to the police, all four occupants - a man at the wheel and a woman in the passenger seat - suffered serious injuries.
It is still unclear how the fatal collision happened.
According to the police, on Sunday afternoon around 3:10 p.m., a 52-year-old from Munich drove his almost brand-new BMW Z4 on the B 13 from Bad Tölz in the direction of Holzkirchen, with a 45-year-old woman from Munich sitting in the passenger seat.
At the same time, a 56-year-old Berliner was driving his Audi A4 from Holzkirchen towards Bad Tölz;
Next to him sat a 51-year-old woman from the Oberhavel district.
At Kurzenberg, the BMW convertible turned left into oncoming traffic for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided head-on with the Audi.
Helicopter flies BMW passenger to Agatharied
The two drivers and their passengers suffered serious injuries in the form of multiple fractures, bruises and internal injuries.
A large contingent of rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident.
Among other things, a helicopter landed, which flew the passenger of the BMW to the Agatharied hospital.
According to the police, all of the injured are not life-threatening.
The BMW was a total loss of at least 40,000 euros.
The police estimate the damage to the Audi at around 20,000 euros.
The Holzkirchen and Großhartpenning fire brigades were deployed with a total of five vehicles.
The B 13 was completely closed for about an hour and a half to record the accident.
It is still unclear why the BMW driver got into the oncoming lane.
Police said no alcohol was found.
The police initiated a preliminary investigation into negligent bodily harm in a traffic accident against the person who caused the accident.
