"Act resolutely, prevent a larger attack":
Border Police Commander Amir Cohen responded tonight (Saturday) to the attack at the Nablus Gate and to the allegations of unjustified shooting at the neutralized terrorist.
"In recent days, there have been several attempts by terrorists to harm fighters and civilians," said Chief of Staff Cohen.
“The fighters acted resolutely, striving for contact and ending the incident by preventing a larger attack on civilians and fighters.
"I fully support the fighters who responded as required to the incident and neutralized the terrorist and prevented him from further harming the fighters and civilians who were at the scene. "As a professional corps, we will learn the exact details as in any event."

As you may recall, a storm broke out among the Palestinians and Israeli Arabs after documentation was published in which it appears that the terrorist was allegedly shot even while lying on the floor.
Hamas spokesman 'Abd al-Latif al-Kanu responded to the attack in Jerusalem, saying: "The execution of the stabbing operation in Bab al-Amud is a barbaric crime and reflects the face of the crime of the occupation."
Another Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qassem, welcomed the attack: "The battle with the occupation is open and will never stop except in achieving the goals of our people in liberation and return and in the establishment of the Palestinian state and its al-Quds capital."
