A 24-year-old has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison for molesting the UK government's chief medical advisor, Chris Whitty, with a friend.
The sentence was suspended for two years, a court in London ruled on Friday.
The man, who lost his job as a real estate agent as a result of the incident, had previously pleaded guilty to assault.
He also has to pay around £ 300 fines and fees.
Whitty was not injured in the assault.
A month ago, the 24-year-old and his friend of the same age tried to force the professor to take a selfie in a London park.
The two drunks held Whitty, who often appears at press conferences with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and roared in triumph.
A video of the incident quickly spread and sparked outrage, with Johnson also criticizing the men.
The second defendant pleaded not guilty.
The trial against him will continue on November 23.
