Even more than two weeks after the flood disaster in the west of the republic, the affected regions are still dependent on help.
Fürstenfeldbruck - That is why on Wednesday morning a team from the Technischen Hilfswerk (THW) Fürstenfeldbruck set out for the Ahrweiler region in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Bruck helpers were requested by the THW management in Bonn. A total of 17 emergency services set off for the Nürburgring with four vehicles and two trailers. "There is a collection point with registration of the emergency services and only there we get the information about the exact location and the type of technical assistance," explains train leader Christoph Weßbecher, who accompanies the convoy. In addition to technical auxiliary equipment, the Bruckers also have their own tents, camp beds and sleeping bags in their luggage so that they can stay overnight independently. “We don't know what to expect on site,” says group leader Christian Feucht. The deployment should last five to seven days. tog
