eaming by X Gross subscriptions and finally, Gross Live"

explains Guillaume Lacroix, founder and CEO of Brut.

The three universes feed on the same community of raw media fans around the world, very present in France, India and the United States and who watch 2 billion videos every month.

Brut X, the subscription video streaming service launched last April will have 250,000 subscribers at the end of 2021 and should reach one million by 2023.

“80% of our subscribers come from the social media Brut, this which allows us to recruit new members almost free of charge, ”

says Renaud Le Van Kim, co-founder of Brut.

“After a launch phase, BrutX will now focus on original productions with the launch of 150 projects and slow down acquisitions, especially fictions,

” he adds.

Live stream shopping

The new Brut Live project is currently only available in France and only on Apple smartphones.

Brut Live will be launched in India at the end of the year and the United States will follow

“With Brut Live we give the possibility to creators and influencers to bring together their community and to monetize it”

explains Guillaume Lacroix.

Ultimately, Brut Live will also make it possible to launch live stream shopping for brands, thereby adding the brick of e-commerce to the group's experience.

"We plan to use the blockchain to create tokenized communities around our influencers and to pay in cryptocurrency"

underlines Guillaume Lacroix.

The $ 75 million raised in June from James Murdoch, François-Henri Pinault, Orange Ventures and Tikehau, allow Brut to patiently build all these service bricks.

Launched as social media in 2016, Brut uses its power and notoriety on social networks to develop a proprietary environment in which the group can control data.

“Ultimately, we will bring together the Brut, Brut X and Brut Live apps under one app,

” concludes Guillaume Lacroix.
