The site has been in maintenance since Monday morning. The computer incident, which occurred after the implementation of the new identification system,

By logging in, the beneficiaries came across the home page of the file ... of another person.

A huge computer bug on the CAF site caused it to be closed for maintenance.

“Our teams are working hard to restore the anomaly.

The site should be in service again during the day on Tuesday, ”we assure management.

“The computer incident”, as CAF describes it, occurred “Sunday evening from 9 pm”.

7,000 files were made available for consultation by other beneficiaries.

It is due to the new identification system put in place on Saturday.

This allows the 13.6 million beneficiaries to connect to their space to access CAF services using their social security number, rather than their traditional beneficiary number.

An anomaly in the computer system redirected some individuals to a file other than theirs.

On social networks, hundreds of Internet users have complained.

Psychosis among beneficiaries fearing to see their data modified

Sophie experienced this mishap on Sunday. The young woman, an employee in the restaurant business, was going to see if her request for APL was accepted. "I put my security number, and there I came across the file of a certain Mrs. C.," she says, amazed. I had access to all his data, I could have changed everything if I wanted. It's pretty amazing! This bug caused a wave of psychosis, with some wondering if their file was not being viewed or edited by someone else.

Océane, a student who did not “directly suffer the bug”, fears discovering a bad surprise when she can, again, connect to her space.

"I'm afraid someone has accessed my account and changed my info," she breathes.

I've been waiting for housing assistance for two months now, so I hope nothing has been changed, otherwise it's a disaster!

"

CAF, which informed the National Commission for Informatics and Freedoms (CNIL) on Monday, will inform “individually” the beneficiaries whose files could have been consulted by a third party.

"We present to all those who were concerned our strongest apologies for this incident and the breach of confidentiality that it represents," insisted on management.
