As Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) announced in the Environment Committee, the permit for the construction of containers on the grounds of the Erich Kästner School has finally been granted.
Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn
- As reported, the pavilion, which offers space for eight classrooms and is intended to alleviate the shortage of space at primary and secondary schools, should actually be at the start of this school year.
Because, according to the district office, documents had to be requested and several questions had to be clarified, the approval was delayed.
Recently there were problems due to a lack of parking spaces.
Now everyone involved is hoping that the containers will be ready by the end of the school year, i.e. in February, at the latest.
Half a year without rooms
Headmaster Torsten Bergmühl is also happy about the news from the district administration.
“Now we see light at the end of the tunnel,” he says.
You will survive the half year without new rooms.
According to his information, the canal construction will start on October 4th.
Because the town hall informed them in good time that the pavilion would not work for the school year, according to Bergmühl, they were able to adapt to the situation in good time.
In addition, the class division played into the cards: Despite stable student numbers, there is one class less this school year.
Therefore, according to the Rector, there is no need to teach a class in the bicycle cellar.
