Weak start of the season, strong return: After the 4-0 win in Cologne Hertha BSC dominated with three players the eleven of the week. Schalke and Leverkusen are doubly represented. Bavaria's Philippe Coutinho was brilliant.

For the home fans there were a few reasons to cheer at the weekend. In eight of nine Bundesliga games triumphed the visiting team. Only Borussia Dortmund drew a point in the 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen at home - a result with which the title-hungry Dortmund could not be satisfied.

Sports scientists have been asking themselves for years how the home bonus should be weighted in football. Statistically, home teams are winning more games. However, the number of home wins is steadily decreasing. In the seventies and eighties, home teams won at least 50 percent of the games in each season, and almost 50 percent in the 1990s and 1990s. In that decade, the value fell below 45 percent, guest teams win 30 percent of the games. So there is still a home effect, but it is getting smaller. The results on the weekend show it.

Our grading system, however, knows no difference between home and away games. The SPIX is measured solely by statistical values. There is no statistically significant difference between the scores of players at home and players away. This weekend, there are nine pros out in the top eleven.

In Wolfsburg's goalkeeping hierarchy Paovo Pervan actually joins behind Koen Casteels. The number one is currently missing injured. In the 1-0 win against Mainz Pervan operated advertising in its own right: The Austrian held the tight success with three top parries and two difficult parades. Pervan indicated that he can be more than just a substitute. Coach Oliver Glasner has always believed in his replacement goalkeeper. Already in Linz they worked together, Pervan was the goalkeeper and captain.

Mainz-based Jeremiah St. Juste set a record for the weekend, with the center-back scoring the best of 100 in the "Conquest" category, which means that no player has had better statistics in this position over the past two years. Against Wolfsburg St. Juste won four of his five tackles, he caught four passes and conquered 13 second balls. Hertha's Dedrick Boyata was already in the top eleven last week. This week he emerged as a scorer: In Cologne, he scored the goal to 4-0.

The second Berliner in the top-eleven is called Maximilian Mittelstädt . The full-back did not stand out in any category, but has above-average statistical values - both offensive and defensive. Even so, a player can reach the top eleven. Leverkusen's Mitchell Weiser owes his nomination to his defensive values: in Leverkusen's 3-0 victory in Augsburg, he won three tackles and netted four opposing passes.

Even in the central midfield conquered an all-rounder the place in the top-eleven. Schalke's Omar Mascarell not only cleared the defense of the 3-1 win in Leipzig, but also emerged on the offensive. Before the goal to 1: 0 Mascarell forwarded a corner ball and thus served his colleague Salif Sané.

Kai Havertz suffers from the curse of the good deed. Having already excelled in the Bundesliga in his teenage years, some of his supporters expect top performances every week. In the season games, however, the 20-year-old remained pale. He reported back against Augsburg: he scored his second goal of the season, for the first time this season, he also prepared a goal. Union of Berlin Sheraldo Becker also emerged as a preparer. His submission to Berlin's 1: 2 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt earned him a place in the top-eleven.

Philippe Coutinho confirmed at Bayern Munich's 3-2 victory in Paderborn all the clichés that Brazilian players awarded - and in a positive sense. In offensive midfield he was an asset in the Bayern game. With his fine tricks and the three goals firing flashed his whole technical class. Coutinho had his opponent dismissed five times, only twice he lost the ball. Coutinho seems to arrive in Munich.

Vedad Ibisevic has always been known for his goal instinct. He ranks 29th in the league table of top scorers in Bundesliga history, ahead of Miroslav Klose and Marco Reus. His performance in Cologne was deeply efficient even by his standards. In the 58th minute coach Ante Covic joined him. With his very first ball contact he scored the 2: 0. Not five minutes later, he met with his third ball contact to 3-0. Schalke's rabbi Matondo did not act that efficiently. Against Leipzig he scored a goal in 30 ball contacts and was directly involved in four other scoring opportunities.
