The new Bundestag Vice President Yvonne Magwas rejects the change in the seating arrangement called for by the FDP.

The Liberals had demanded to swap places with the Union in the plenary hall and move away from the AfD more towards the center of the plenary hall.
The Union does not want to sit next to the right-wing populists.
The left had already assured the FDP of its support.
Of course, the AfD made completely different statements.
"The FDP farce about the seating arrangements in the Bundestag is childish and completely irresponsible in view of the pressing problems in our country," said the parliamentary group co-leader Alice Weidel.
Before the statement by Yvonne Magwas, the CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt had already turned against the union faction to swap places with the liberals.
"The Bundestag isn't a merry-go-round," he said.
What's next now?
In the constituent session of the new Bundestag this week, everything stayed the same for the time being, but the new council of elders can make possible changes to the location during the legislative period.
It is not unlikely that the plenary hall of the Bundestag will be rebuilt again.
Seen from the Bundestag presidium, the AfD parliamentary group is currently sitting on the far right in the plenum, followed by the parliamentary groups of the FDP, the Union, the Greens and the SPD, and the left is sitting on the very left.
The FDP would now like to swap places with the Union.
The Liberals could possibly achieve this goal if the traffic light coalition sought by the SPD, Greens and FDP is in place and a majority decides to change the seating arrangement accordingly.
