In the event of a fire in a thermal bath in Olsberg (Sauerland), the sauna area burned down completely, 89 guests and eight employees were evacuated.
According to the fire department, nobody was injured in the incident on Wednesday evening.
Olsberg - As a spokesman said on Thursday, the guests were taken to an adjacent gym - some in swimwear.
"Just put on briefly and take the things out of the locker, that was no longer possible," said the fire department spokesman.
The people were provided with bathrobes, blankets and warm drinks.
The fire could not be completely extinguished until around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
A total of 120 emergency services were involved.
The cause was initially unclear.
