Canceled in 2021, Hellfest promises a double edition in 2022 with the highlight of Metallica

The festival will take place over two weekends, instead of one, and will feature the legendary trash metal band as the closing date.


Canceled in 2020 and 2021, Hellfest, a renowned metal festival in Loire-Atlantique, sees double in 2022: two weekends instead of one, with 350 groups including the monster Metallica, the organizers announced Thursday.

For the first dose of big guitars (June 17-19, 2022) in Clisson, renowned groups such as Faith No More, Judas Priest, Deftones, Deep Purple, Korn, Megadeth, Dropkick Murphys, Airbourne, Offspring and Killing Joke are at the poster.

This first salvo of the festival will be reserved for ticket holders of the edition in 2020, so it is already full.

Scorpions and Guns N'Roses

For the second part added (23-26 June 2022), there will be in particular Scorpions, Nine Inch Nails (unique service in Europe), Ministry, Alice Cooper, Bad Religion, Guns N'Roses (with Axl, Slash and Duff), and therefore, Metallica in closing.
