Many Putzbrunners did not expect this price increase.

For some, it may come as a nasty surprise.

Putzbrunn - Anyone who dies in Putzbrunn from September onwards will have to dig deeper into their pockets than before.

The cemetery fees will rise enormously from September 1st, for urn burials almost twelve times as much.

“We have a new funeral home that has calculated the fees correctly.

So far we always made a big minus ”, explained Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) in the main committee.

In the case of urns, the increase is particularly drastic

The cost of urns, the most popular burial method, is rising dramatically: 70 percent of all deceased are now buried in this way.

If you want to be in a stele or urn wall, you have to pay 196 euros instead of 29 euros.

Anyone who prefers an urn grave with a bed, plate, semi-anonymous or anonymous, will increase the costs twelve-fold to 341 euros.

New undertaker has calculated costs

According to Klostermeier, the reason for the jump in prices is the new undertaker, who calculated all costs in detail.

"This undertaker was the only one who answered our inquiries," said Mayor.

"We passed on his calculation one-to-one, from which you can see how high the deficit has been at every funeral in recent years." But that was politically wanted, the community added the rest, according to Klostermeier.

The use of the funeral hall is now calculated correctly

Now you can pass on the correct costs to the citizens or the municipality takes over part of them again, as with the fees for the children's facilities.

Branch manager Michael Hohberg added that the increased costs for the use of the funeral hall have now been calculated: "The laying out, electricity, heating, cleaning and, above all, the depreciation of the building are now correctly taken into account."

Local council considers the increase to be partly immoral

For Robert Böck (GPP) these price increases are incomprehensible: “That is partly immoral.

I will definitely not agree. ”Martin Adler (FWG) was annoyed about the transport costs of the coffin or urn in the amount of 65 euros from the forest cemetery to the old cemetery.

"There is also a funeral hall in the old cemetery, why should someone be transported from the forest cemetery?"

Nobody can avoid the costs

Böck complained that in Germany everyone was forced to use urns, coffins and graves.

“We are not allowed to bury our relatives at home like in other countries.

So no one can avoid these costs - the state or the municipality has to subsidize them. ”Klostermeier agreed that the municipal council could not pass the costs on to the citizens in full.

However, against Böck's vote, the main committee decided to transfer the new costs in full to the citizens.

At the request of Klostermeier, the use of the funeral hall was capped at 300 euros.

Cost from September

Use of the funeral hall: 300 euros (previously: 170 euros);

Burial in the earth grave to a depth of 1.60 meters: 580 euros (151 euros);

Burial in the earth grave to a depth of 2.20 meters: 652 euros (174 euros).

Urn (stele or urn wall): 196 euros (29 euros);

Urn (bed or plate): 341 euros (29 euros)
