A minister in office and former rebel leader imprisoned a week ago in the Central African Republic, accused of war crimes and against humanity, was exfiltrated Friday from his prison by gendarmes, announced the Special Criminal Court (CPS) in Bangui, which denounces an

“obstruction of justice”.

Bouba Ali Hassan, Minister of Livestock and Animal Health, was arrested on November 19 by order of this specialized court.

He was to be presented to investigating judges on Friday

"but the unit responsible for his extraction was prevented from accessing the place of his detention"

then

"he was taken back by the national gendarmerie to his home"

, assures the CPS in a press release.
