Petr Ruman wants to get started at Türkgücü Munich.

In an interview, the 44-year-old talks about the club's high goals and the influence of President Hasan Kivran.

Munich - Türkgücü Munich starts preparing for the second season in professional football today.

As the new coach, Petr Ruman should fulfill the high ambitions of the third division club.

Before that, Ruman trained Greuther Fürth's U23 team, so he is an expert in dealing with talents.

In an exclusive interview with our newspaper, the 44-year-old talks about reactions from his circle of friends since he switched, the negative image of his new employer and Jürgen Klopp as a mentor.

Mr. Ruman, you trained in a NLZ at Greuther Fürth, now we are sitting in front of a district sports facility.

Culture shock?

I come from a down-to-earth background.

With my parents, brother and dog we lived in the Czech Republic on 60 square meters.

In 1999 I moved to Fürth, the cabin here at Türkgücü Munich * on the layout reminds me of that time.

The association is constantly working hard to improve the situation.

We will make the best of these circumstances.

What kind of coach are you?

I am very communicative.

Clear announcements are extremely important to me.

Everyone should know where they are with me.

A team is not all about best friends.

It is important that we are honest with one another.

"I can only think of one word about Kloppo: outstanding"

Petr Ruman on his ex-trainer Jürgen Klopp

You played as a Mainz professional under Jürgen Klopp *.

What did you learn from there?

I can only think of one word about Kloppo: outstanding.

It took me a week to dare to speak to him.

He taught us that every person should be valued.

If I want to be respected, I have to respect others too.

Türkgücü is mostly associated with chaos.

What were your first thoughts when the request came?

At first I was pleased that I was shortlisted as a candidate.

In the world of football, rumors spread just as quickly as well-founded information.

Like many others, I had heard or read superficially negative things about the association.

The first conversations with Hasan Kivran and Roman Plesche then completely convinced me of the opposite.

Türkgücü has high ambitions, but also does a lot to achieve these goals.

That's how I tick too.

We will attack fully and are ready.

Türkgücü trainer Petr Ruman on the influence of President Hasan Kivran: "I am always open to impulses"

What kind of reactions were there from your coaching colleagues or your circle of acquaintances?

Of course, many were rather skeptical at first.

But to be honest, I shouldn't care.

It is important to me how it works internally in the club.

And then I quickly realized: There is not only hot air here, but there are a lot of people who give full throttle every day for the club.

Your predecessors in the coaching position criticized Hasan Kivran's influence.

How do you feel about it?

I am always open to impulses.

This not only affects the president, but also the entire coaching team and the athletic leadership.

We have to find a way together to be successful.

Türkgücü Munich: Coach Petr Ruman "definitely plans to stay here longer"

Have you already found an apartment with your family?

My family will stay in Fürth for the time being. I am currently still living in a hotel in Munich. But I definitely plan to stay here longer. It's my fault. My team should play attractive football and inspire the audience. At the same time, I also expect everyone to sacrifice themselves for the team and throw themselves into the duels without fear of injury. (Interview: Nico-Marius Schmitz)
