Due to rising corona numbers in Germany, Chancellery Minister Helge Braun (CDU) has announced possible restrictions for non-vaccinated people.

"Those who have been vaccinated will definitely have more freedom than those who have not been vaccinated," Braun said of "Bild am Sonntag".

According to Braun, the state has a duty to protect the health of its citizens. In the event of a high infection rate despite test concepts, he believes that unvaccinated people should reduce their contacts again. "That can also mean that certain offers such as restaurant, cinema and stadium visits would no longer be possible even for those who have not been vaccinated because the residual risk is too high."

The Chancellery Minister also fears that the incidence in Germany will rise to 850 and thus 100,000 new infections per day by the Bundestag election on September 26th.

Braun added that it would cause sickness levels to hit historic highs.

This would mean that all unvaccinated contact persons of the infected would have to be in quarantine.

»The effects on the work processes in the companies would be massive.

We're already seeing that in the UK, ”said Braun.

Braun insists that masking is compulsory in class

Braun is particularly concerned about the start of school after the summer holidays: "If the incidence increases as expected, it will be very difficult to keep the infections out of the schools." He therefore demands that parents, teachers and school staff get vaccinated.

In addition, the CDU politician calls for the mask requirement in local public transport and in school lessons to be upheld.
