News coming for the Italian Cup.
During the League Council which took place in the afternoon and which also decided the dates for the next championship, in fact, a new tournament format was also launched: only 40 teams will participate (20 Serie A and 20 B clubs), starting next August 15th, the date on which 12 teams of A will take the field immediately. A new formula that aims to enhance the tournament and immediately create challenges that are attractive for television.
Furthermore, Serie A will ask the FIGC to change the format of the Primavera 1 TIM championship, rising to 18 teams from the current 16.
