The commander of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, acknowledged that the United States of America is no longer the only undisputed global power.
During the graduation ceremony of a batch of officers at West Point Military Academy in New York, Milley painted a bleak picture of the future of a world suffering from instability and falling apart with great powers bent on changing the world order.
Milley spoke about the possibility of a major international conflict between the great world powers increasing, noting that the US military superiority over the past seventy years has been in decline and that his country will face challenges in every field of space warfare, the Internet, sea, air and land.
He considered that the future war will be very complex and will require accurate long-range weapons and new advanced technologies, holding the next generation responsible for maintaining peace, containing and preventing the outbreak of war between the great powers.
