The activities of the Chilean Architecture Month, organized by the Chilean Embassy in Damascus, opened today in the Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University.
On the first day, the activities included an exhibition of one of the founders of the Faculty of Architecture in Santiago, which included paintings, illustrations and engineering drawings by the Chilean architect Alberto Croce Covarrubias.
It also included two lectures by two visiting professors, the first entitled Viewing Props for an Architectural Coexistence Environment in the South American Continent by Chilean Architect Bruno Parla, and the second entitled Architecture Along a Line by British Architect Marcelo Sesteto.
The opening of the events was attended by the President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Yasar Abdeen, the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile in Damascus Jose Patricio Brickle, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. Oqba Fakush, and a crowd of professors and students of the faculty.
