Christian Eriksen visited the Danish national soccer team after his dramatic collapse and the use of a defibrillator.
"Christian was happy to see us and we were very happy to see him," said left-back Joakim Maehle in a media panel: "I personally felt the need to touch and see him, after the experiences we had have made."
Eriksen was released from the hospital on Friday afternoon and had then visited the team at their training center with his wife and two children.
“Everyone laughed and hugged him.
It was a feeling of love and joy, ”said midfielder Christian Norgaard.
Outside attacker Andreas Skov Olsen was also very touched by the meeting.
“It was fantastic to see him with my own eyes, not on a screen,” said the 21-year-old. “Now we've seen with our own eyes that he and his family are okay.
Now we can concentrate even better on Monday. "
Then the Danes play after the two opening defeats against Russia (9 p.m.; TV: ARD and MagentaTV) for the last chance at the round of 16.
