Class action lawsuit: Maccabi Haifa fans against Bnei Sakhnin Israel today

2022-05-17T05:20:19.122Z

A number of lawyers are expected to take legal action on behalf of the green crowd, which did not get to see what was supposed to be the championship game • In Haifa, efforts continue to keep Jose Rodriguez and Josh Cohen

Thousands of Maccabi Haifa fans arrived at the Moshava Stadium last night for the game against Bnei Sakhnin, but returned home after receiving notification that the game had been canceled following the police decision.

Now, a number of lawyers are considering a class action lawsuit on behalf of the champion fans, who purchased tickets, came to Petah Tikva, some at the expense of work or other things, and returned without watching the game, to their perception, due to a failure for which Bnei Sakhnin is responsible.

Still, those thousands celebrated an official and final championship outside the Colony Stadium, while the players did not celebrate this time but dispersed on the team bus to their home.

On another issue, apart from the game that was canceled against Sakhnin, there are other issues that the Green Club deals with, one of which is the contract of midfielder Jose Rodriguez.

Although the champion waived the option in his contract, "Israel Today" learned that the player signed that he will not move to another team in Israel and on the other hand the club waived the option.

Thus, in Haifa they assured themselves that if Rodriguez eventually leaves, it will not be for an Israeli team.

Negotiations between the parties will continue, in an attempt to conclude a new contract.

Goalkeeper Josh Cohen received an extension of another week to bring an offer from abroad. After the cup final next Tuesday, in Haifa they will make it clear to Cohen: "Either you sign a new contract, or the team will look for another goalkeeper." Cohen himself wanted to play in the US, But the move did not materialize.
