THW Kiel celebrated the third victory in the preliminary round of the Handball Champions League.
In the duel of the national record champions, the North Germans prevailed on Wednesday with 36:28 (18:15) against HC Zagreb from Croatia.
The best thrower of the "zebras" was Harald Reinkind with eight hits.
Filip Vistorop and Ivan Cupic each scored six goals for Zagreb.
Kiel - After a tough start and the first goal in the fifth minute of the game, the hosts, who had to do without Rune Dahmke (foot injury) and Steffen Weinhold (infection), increased on the defensive.
