Minister of Industry Ziad Sobhi Sabbagh discussed with a delegation from the Russian Coordination Authority and the Association of Importers and Exporters in the field of health the technical and technical measures necessary to launch a project to localize the Russian biological vaccines industry, including vaccines against the novel coronavirus in Syria.
In the meeting, which is the second of its kind, the Minister of Industry stressed the need to upgrade the economic and industrial relations between the two countries to the level of political relations, calling on the delegation to present a brief study on sterilization and refrigeration equipment and the technical and health requirements necessary to launch the project on sound and clear scientific bases.
The Russian delegation included Lushkarev Oleg Germanovich from the Russian Coordination Body and Dmitriy Alexandrovich Umotnykh, President of the Association of Importers and Exporters of Health in the Russian Federation and diplomatic activities.
It is noteworthy that a similar meeting was held in mid-November 2021 to discuss possible joint measures to be taken to localize the Russian biological vaccine industry in Syria.
