Even so, he is now in the hospital with a broken leg.
The ex-ski star posted a shock picture.

A more than bad injury for a skier.
It is all the more bitter when you are seriously injured after your career.
Just like the eternal Neureuther rival Marcel Hirscher did now.

The two-time Olympic champion ended his active career in February 2019.
But there is no trace of relaxing and enjoying life at the Salzburger.
Hirscher is simply a speed junkie and recently took part in his first “Red Bull Romaniacs”.
What is that?
Nothing less than the "toughest enduro rally in the world".
Hirscher had to experience firsthand how tough motorcycle racing really is.
The 32-year-old broke his leg in a fall - and even posted the picture of the x-rays on Instagram.
In the meantime, Hirscher is back in Salzburg, where the injury is being treated further.

“It was a great experience and a great event,” Hirscher writes in his post: “But it's a tough sport and mistakes are not forgiven at such a level and at such speeds.
Injuries are therefore part of it, ”said the two-time Olympic champion.
Buddy and ex-rival Neureuther liked the post.
Hirscher ended his skiing career two and a half years ago. The Austrian won a total of three Olympic medals (silver in 2014 in Sochi and two gold in 2018 in Pyeongchang) and was world champion six times.
