Seven people were indicted Wednesday, in the investigation into the terrorist attack which claimed the life of Samuel Paty, on October 16 in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines).
Among these individuals, five were remanded in custody, announces the national anti-terrorism prosecution (Pnat).
In the afternoon, the national anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-François Ricard indicated that the investigation had been entrusted to an examining magistrate for "complicity in terrorist assassination" and "association of terrorist criminals" in particular.

Brahim C., a
48-year-old
parent of a pupil
, is indicted for "complicity in terrorist assassination" and remanded in custody.
He had posted a video hostile to Samuel Paty, a few days after his course on freedom of expression and the Muhammad cartoons.
He also filed a complaint against the teacher.
"The investigation has shown that the controversy triggered by Brahim C. was based on factually inaccurate facts," summed up the anti-terrorism prosecutor on Wednesday.
The father had wrongly assured that his daughter had attended Samuel Paty's course on freedom of expression, and published on October 7 several messages and videos on Facebook decrying the role of the teacher.
"He called for the mobilization and exclusion Mr. Paty and left his own contact details", indicates the magistrate, specifying that he also named the professor and revealed the address of the college, before removing these details.
Some “Brahim C. correspondents have made threatening remarks” against Samuel Paty.
The investigations also established that the killer, Abdoullakh Anzorov, had come into contact with Brahim C. and that the latter responded to him.
The terrorist was also directly inspired by messages broadcast by Brahim C, taking up in a note on his phone the location of the college and the name of the professor.

This man, described as being part of “the Islamist movement”, proclaimed in police custody that he envisaged “only a citizen reaction and an administrative sanction against Mr. Paty, of which he considered that the behavior consisting in distinguish Muslim students as being serious ”, assured the magistrate.
Two schoolchildren
aged 14 and 15 are indicted for "complicity in terrorist murder" and placed under judicial supervision.
The two teenagers are suspected of having received money from the young Chechen terrorist aged 18, who sought to identify Samuel Paty this Friday, October 16 in Conflans.
They would have designated the teacher to him, before he beheaded him.
“The investigation established that if the perpetrator had the teacher's surname, the name of the college and its location, he did not have the means to identify him, insisted the prosecutor Jean-François Ricard .
This identification was only possible through the intervention of college students from the same establishment.

The two college students were released under judicial supervision, against the advice of the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office, which called for their placement in pre-trial detention.

The first of the protagonists, one of his long-time friends, aged 19, "is suspected of having accompanied him the day before the facts for the purchase of a knife in Rouen", specifies the prosecutor.
Another, aged 18 and from Évreux, admits having "conveyed" the terrorist to arms stores and "having deposited Anzorov near the college" on Friday.
The two young men spontaneously presented themselves to the police and "deny having had knowledge of their friend's deadly plans".
Yussu C., a third close to the killer,
is indicted for "terrorist association" and remanded in custody.
Aged 18 and also close to the killer, he is accused of "very close contacts and manifest sharing of their radical ideology", according to the magistrate.
The family circle of the terrorist exonerated
Four people from Abdoullakh Anzorov's family circle (parents, grandfather and little brother), arrested in Evreux following the identification of the young Chechen, were released at the end of their custody in view.
Investigators also released three college students, Abdelhakim Sefrioui's companion, as well as a man already convicted of terrorism and who was in contact with the assailant.
