The confidence index measured every month by the Di Tella University fell 3.7% in October compared to the previous month and fell
11.3% compared to October 2019.
The survey was conducted between September 30 and October 14 .
Among the components of the index, the perception of the "personal situation" falls 9.4%;
on the "macroeconomic situation" it falls 7.8%;
and on "durable and real estate" it rises 15%, always with respect to the previous month.
This variable is probably due to the soaring of the blue dollar, which makes people seek refuge in assets that do not lose value in dollars, such as durable goods and bricks.
In the territorial distribution, consumer confidence rises 5% in the Federal Capital and falls 4.3% in Greater Buenos Aires and 6.9% in the interior of the country.

Meanwhile, in the distribution by income level, confidence drops 0.9% for those surveyed with higher incomes and 7.2% for those with lower incomes, always with respect to the previous month.
At the national level, the level of confidence linked to the evaluation of "present conditions" rises 4.8% and the factor that measures "future expectations" falls 8.1%.
The gap between the factors that measure future expectations and present conditions narrowed, from 25.3 to 19.7 in October.
