As of today (October 11), the rules for people who get tested for COVID-19 have changed.

Regensburg - The rules for the corona tests * have changed since today, Monday (October 11).

In addition, they will soon be chargeable for certain groups of people.

Exceptions apply to people who, among other things, have symptoms of COVID-19;

People who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, as well as people who work in certain care facilities.

Only they can still be tested for free.

There are no tests that cost in the local test centers like the one at Dultplatz, as the city of Regensburg * writes in a press release. 

Regensburg: The following people can still be tested on Dultplatz from October 11th 

PoC antigen test (rapid test): 

Children up to the age of twelve (up to a maximum of three months after their twelfth birthday) 

People who for medical reasons cannot be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, especially pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy 

People who for medical reasons could not be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 in the last three months before the test 

Persons who at the time of testing are participating in clinical studies on the effectiveness of vaccines against corona or who have participated in such studies in the last three months prior to testing 

People who are in quarantine due to a proven infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and who need proof of the test to end the quarantine 

Visitors to inpatient care facilities, outpatient care services and offers for support in everyday life as well as inpatient facilities for people with disabilities 

slightly symptomatic children in childcare facilities (so-called "runny children") 

until November 30, 2021: students 

until December 31, 2021: young people up to their 18th birthday 

until December 31, 2021: pregnant women 

by December 31, 2021: Students who have received a vaccination with vaccines other than those specified by the Paul Ehrlich Institute on the Internet at http://www.pei.de/impfstoffe/covid-19 

PCR test: 

People who have symptoms of COVID-19 disease 

People who tested positive using the PoC antigen test 

PCR test or PoC antigen test (rapid test): 

Contact persons for COVID-19 positive patients 

People who are in quarantine and need proof of the test to end the quarantine 

People who were warned by the Corona-WarnApp (increased risk) 

Teachers and daycare staff 

Schoolchildren and daycare children 

Employees and carers in shelters for the homeless and facilities for the collective accommodation of asylum seekers, persons who are legally obliged to leave the country, refugees and repatriates 

Employees of inpatient care facilities, outpatient care services and offers for support in everyday life as well as inpatient facilities for people with disabilities. 

Anyone wishing to take advantage of these tests must show the relevant evidence.
