Travelers from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia and Namibia must
quarantine for 10 days
upon arrival in Spain, having been included by the Spanish Government as
high-risk countries
for the coronavirus.
It will be effective
as of Tuesday, July 27
and for fourteen days, renewable.
These countries are thus incorporated into the list of more than 25 from outside the European Union who have to quarantine if they travel to Spain, according to an order published this Saturday by the Spanish Ministry of Health, effective as of next Tuesday 27 of July and for fourteen days, extendable.
The quarantine may end earlier, if on the seventh day the person undergoes a diagnostic test for active infection with a negative result according to specific tests admitted by Spain.
During the quarantine, you must
stay in a home
or
accommodation,
limiting the movements and access of third parties to those essential to acquire food, medicine and other essential products, travel to health centers or due to force majeure.
The
security forces
may at any time carry out the
appropriate checks
on compliance with the quarantine conditions, according to this order.
In order to stop the spread of new variants of coronavirus, Spain will continue to demand a ten-day quarantine for travelers from India and limit flights from Brazil and South Africa for its citizens.
Spain has suffered a
new wave of
coronavirus
cases
for several weeks (677 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for 14 days on Friday) and several regions have applied restrictions.
Cases are less severe than during previous waves thanks to the vaccination campaign: 53% of the population is fully vaccinated and 64% received at least one dose, according to official figures.
