This Saturday the Government confirmed
11,136 new cases
and another
225 deaths
from coronavirus.
In this way, Argentina exceeds 4.8 million infected and 103 thousand deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The update of the figures was published this afternoon by the Ministry of Health of the Nation in the health part prepared with the information provided by the provinces in the last 24 hours.
Of the deceased notified, 133 resided in the province of Buenos Aires, 27 in Mendoza, 13 in the City of Buenos Aires;
ten in Formosa and Santa Fe;
eight in Córdoba, six in Jujuy, four in Salta;
three in Chaco and Chubut;
two in Catamarca, Misiones and Río Negro;
and one in La Papa and Entre Ríos.
Of the 255,189 people who are suffering from the disease, 4,318 remain hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
The occupancy level in this sector is 54.9% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and 56.9% in the rest of the country.

The highest number of infections on the day were registered in the province of Buenos Aires (2,834), Córdoba (1,596), Santa Fe (1,204) and the Federal Capital (736).
Then they were located Corrientes (495), Tucumán (425), Chaco (393), Santiago del Estero (333), Entre Ríos (328), Salta (318), Mendoza (314), San Luis (274), Formosa (274 ), La Pampa (247), Río Negro (242) and Catamarca (212).
The part was completed by Jujuy (193), Neuquén (191), La Rioja (180), Misiones (179), Chubut (98), Tierra del Fuego (38), Santa Cruz (25) and San Juan (7).
In the last 24 hours, 85,239 tests were carried out, with a
positivity of 13%.
Taking the statistics accumulated since March of last year, Argentina remains in the
eighth place
of the nations with the highest number of infected.
In addition, it is the
eleventh country
to exceed 100,000 fatal cases.
The other ten are the United States, Brazil, India, Mexico, Peru, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Colombia and France.

According to the latest official data, as of this morning 35,066,774 doses had been sent to the provinces, of which
5.6 million still remain to be applied

According to figures published in the Public Vaccination Monitor, 23,492,843 people received at least one vaccine.
This represents
51.2%
of the population, out of the 45,808,747 inhabitants estimated by INDEC this year.
Within the total number of vaccinated, 5,944,9197 people are included who also received the second dose with which the immunization schedule is completed.

of the population.
