The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 6,792 new positive cases of coronavirus and 168 deaths in the last 24 hours. Thus, the total number of infected by COVID-19 is 213,535 in the country and the deceased reached 3,979 .
Both figures, both cases and deaths, are record since the pandemic started, which is at the worst moment in our country. The previous record of cases had been last Thursday with 6,377 infections, while the previous maximum number of deaths in one day was Monday, with 166. Both were in the past.
Meanwhile, infections in the province of Buenos Aires, where cases do not stop appearing and worry, represent 63.85% of the total with 4,337 in 24 hours and 129,451 accumulated.
In its morning report, the ministry had reported on Tuesday 52 new deaths corresponding to 23 men (14 from Buenos Aires, 7 from CABA, 1 from Mendoza and 1 from Corrientes) and 28 women (21 from Buenos Aires and 7 from CABA) . Since that last part, 116 new deaths were registered. 71 men and 44 women. In the province, 50 men and 27 women died, in CABA 18 and 13, in Chaco 2 and 1, in Río Negro one of each sex, a woman from Córdoba and one from Mendoza.
"Of the total of these cases, 1,123 (0.5%) are imported, 59,408 (27.8%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 119,544 (56%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation" , the statement reported.
Last Sunday 12,839 new samples were made and since the start of the outbreak 760,746 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 16,765.1 samples per million inhabitants.
Meanwhile, after the Alberto Fernández decree that establishes the prohibition of family reunions and includes criminal sanctions for the "rebels", in the AMBA they affirm that the measure is "almost impossible" to apply and point to the responsibility of the neighbors.
One of the provinces that had been "rebellious" in the face of this decision by the National Executive had been Corrientes, which now said that it would abide by the measure. A day after the province's secretary general, Carlos Vignolo, had declared that there were no reasons for Corrientes to change, Governor Gustavo Valdés remarked that the decree is "contradictory" and that he "took them by surprise", but that they will continue "Accompanying the decisions of the National Government".
