There is little dynamic in
the
seven-day incidence
in Germany.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Wednesday morning at
65.4
.
For comparison: the previous day the value was 65.8, a week ago it was 62.3 (previous month: 81.9).
The health authorities in Germany reported
11,903 new corona infections to
the RKI within one day
.
This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 04.23 a.m.
A week ago the value was 11,547 infections.
According to the new information,
92 deaths were
recorded across
Germany within 24 hours
.
A week ago there were 76 deaths.
The RKI has counted 4,330,258 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Tuesday as
1.70
(Monday: 1.58).
A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is
not provided
for the
incidence of hospitalization,
among other things because of large regional differences.
The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,116,400.
The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,389.
Intensive care physician
: Hardly vaccinated corona patients without previous illness
According to doctors, there are almost no patients vaccinated against Covid-19 without a previous illness in the corona intensive care units in Germany.
Most of them are not vaccinated at all or not completely vaccinated, said Gernot Marx, President of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi), the editorial network Germany (RND).
The vaccinated minority consists largely of older patients whose second vaccination was a long time ago.
"As a rule, these people also suffer from serious chronic illnesses."
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, around one in ten of the patients who were treated for corona in intensive care units in August and September were fully vaccinated.
This emerges from a response from the Ministry to a request from the left-wing member of the Bundestag Sahra Wagenknecht, which became known on Tuesday.
The Divi President described the capacities for free beds in the intensive care units as currently relatively stable.
»At the moment we are in a plateau phase, we are stagnating with around 1,300 Covid intensive care patients.
The situation is under control, ”said Marx.
"We are now able to act and have an average of two free intensive care beds per location."
But there could be no talk of relaxation.
Furthermore, Covid-19 is a great burden for intensive care medicine;
The situation in the intensive care units is meanwhile "no longer always and first of all determined by Corona," said Marx.
"We are in a very open situation, forecasts for the coming months are hardly possible."
