Coronavirus in Latin America: this is how the week of July 6 begins in the 10 most affected countries in the region

The blow of the pandemic to Latin America, according to the IMF 19:12

(CNN Spanish) -  "The Americas region is clearly the current epicenter of the covid-19 pandemic," said the director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr. Carissa Etienne.

And it is that while the world continues adding coronavirus infections, with more than 11.4 million cases, more and more countries on the American continent occupy the first places both in cases and in the number of deaths.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the United States and Brazil remain in the first two places on the list, with 2.8 and 1.6 million infections, respectively. Peru, with more than 302,000 cases, and Chile, with more than 295,000, are in fifth and sixth place.

Thus begins the week of July 6 in the ten Latin American countries most affected by covid-19.
