(ANSA) - MOSCOW, JUN 18 - Russia has recorded 17,262 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the highest daily number since February 1. The Chrysiants-Coronavirus Center said so. The total case count reached 5,281,309. The deaths are instead 453, the highest figure since March 18.
The situation is particularly serious in Moscow where 9,056 new cases and 78 deaths in 24 hours are registered, with rates of morbidity never seen before. According to an elaboration of official data drawn up by TASS, the share of cases registered in Moscow has now exceeded 10% of its population. (HANDLE).
