Covid-19: 2,366 classes and 19 school structures closed

2,366 classes, for the vast majority of first degree, closed due to Covid-19.

This is the assessment made by the Ministry of National Education in its weekly update, published Friday, September 24 early in the morning.

2,366 classes, or as many complex situations for the parents and children concerned, but a drop of water on the scale of the 527,000 classes in France: 0.45%.

Last week, the Ministry of National Education announced the closure of 3,299 classes.

The vaccine offered in 4,154 establishments

18 schools and a college, out of the 59,650 public and private school structures under contract spread across the country, also had to close their doors.

Four are in the academy of Bordeaux, four in that of Toulouse, three in that of Nantes, two in that of Guyana.

The last six are located in the academies of Normandy, Créteil, Reims, Orléans-Tours, Dijon and Clermont-Ferrand.

This September 24, for the first time, the ministry also gave indications on the saliva tests intended for students and staff of schools.

Between Monday 13 and Monday 20 September, 297,309 tests were offered, and 159,828 tests were carried out.

0.14% of these tests were positive.

Finally, 4,154 establishments have offered a vaccination course to their students aged 12 and over since the start of the school year.
