Millions of people were tested for Covid-19 on Sunday in several major cities in China in an attempt to stem a rise in coronavirus cases.

China reported on Sunday 75 new contaminations, including 53 local transmissions.

Covid: three patients transferred from Martinique to Ile-de-France

A medical plane carrying three Covid patients in intensive care landed overnight in mainland France from Martinique and they were taken care of in AP-HP establishments in the Ile-de-France region, AFP learned from management general health.

The United States is the country with the most deaths (613,133), ahead of Brazil (556,370), India (423,217), Mexico (239,997) and Peru (196,214).

The WHO estimates, taking into account the excess mortality directly and indirectly linked to Covid-19, that the toll of the pandemic could be two to three times higher than that which is officially established.
