With 43 new entries in critical care services, 1,051 people are being cared for this Friday in these reserved units

In France as elsewhere in the world, the Covid-19 epidemic is declining.

But the situation remains extremely fragile: it only took two outbreaks of contamination in schools for Lozère to switch back to the wrong side, and reimpose the mask at school next Monday.

At the hospital, the signals are still encouraging.

According to the latest report from Public Health France, 6,470 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized in the country this Friday, against 6,523 Thursday and 6,805 last Friday.

Of these patients, 215 were admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours.

The fall of patients with severe forms is spectacular: with 43 new entries in critical care services, 1,051 people are being cared for this Friday in these units reserved for the most severe cases.

They were 44 the day before, 1,164 seven days ago.

It should be noted, however, that the incidence rate rose very slightly in France, all ages combined, while remaining below the alert threshold of 50.
