Covid-19 in France: 60 new deaths, 1,072 patients hospitalized in critical care

Public Health France records a total of 7,363 Covid-19 patients treated in hospital following an infection, compared to 7,236 days


The increase in patients hospitalized due to Covid-19 continues to grow.

This Friday, Public Health France recorded a total of 7,363 Covid-19 patients treated in hospital following an infection, against 7,236 Thursday and 6,802 last Friday.

After a slight drop during the month of July, the number of patients in critical care returned to Thursday above the 1,000 mark. A trend which was confirmed on Friday with 1,072 serious cases.

They were 1,015 Thursday and 872 last Friday.

Sixty patients were admitted to these services on Friday, they were 91 patients on Thursday, 69 last Friday.

60 new deaths have also been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total of Covid-19 deaths to over 111,800 in France since the start of the epidemic.
