They spent a long time waiting to be
allowed to sign up
for the coronavirus vaccine.
They were finally able to sign up.
And now they
eagerly
await
the summons to be inoculated.
But what happens if, with the passing of days and weeks,
the turn does not come
?
Many residents of the
City
and
Province of Buenos Aires
are in this situation.
And their concern grows when they learn that other people
of the same age
or risk condition have already been immunized.
Reviewing the
official websites
of the vaccination campaigns
from top to bottom
does not provide much clarification on this subject.
This is so because, in general, they limit themselves to indicating that the shifts are distributed as the vaccines arrive in the country, and that
they must wait
to be contacted.
But how long is it reasonable to wait?
And where to turn to check if the vaccination is not taking longer than normal due to an
error
?
Clarín
transferred these inquiries to the authorities of both districts.

The situation in the City of Buenos Aires
In Buenos Aires territory, since Monday the authorities enabled registration for the entire population
over 45 years of age
.
Neighbors between that age and 49
can now register
on this website without having to prove that they have a special risk condition.
Last week they had already summoned people from
50 to 59 years old
, who
can
now
continue to register
, like all the people considered in the previous instances.
All these news came after progress had been made with the
highest priority
groups
, including health personnel, those over 60, police, teachers and neighbors with risky diseases.
After entering the official site and completing the form (or calling 147), the established procedure is as follows:
You should expect a
summons
that arrives by
email, WhatsApp and SMS
, through the contact channels declared when registering.
Through a personalized link, the neighbor
selects the date, time
and place he prefers to be vaccinated.
Receive a
shift confirmation
through the same communication channels.
You must go to the appointment
15 minutes in advance
and there will be 15 minutes for observation after the application.
After receiving the injection, people should stay for a while under observation.

What to do if the summons does not arrive?
As a first measure, the Buenos Aires government asks residents
not to re-register
and to check if they did not receive the messages in the
SPAM
(spam) box.
"Sometimes there can be an error in the loading of the contact information because we send
3, 4 and even 5 times
the emails so that the neighbors can take turns," they told
Clarín
in the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health.
Registrants can
check if they are properly registered
by writing on WhatsApp at +54 911 5050-0147.
In the chat, choose "Covid Vaccine" and then the option "Am I on the roll?".
In any case, they explained, if time passes and they do not receive their turn, people can
inquire about their situation by
writing to consultavacunacovid@buenosaires.gob.ar or by calling the toll-free number
147
.

In the Province of Buenos Aires, the procedure to access the vaccine can vary greatly depending on the age of the person.
This is because for certain groups there is "
free vaccination
" starting this month
, while others - the vast majority - must register and
wait for a summons
.
Those who today can appear at any nearby vaccination center
without a previous
appointment
to receive the first dose, only carrying their ID, are all
those over 60 years of age
who live in the Province.
People
between 18 and 59 years old
, on the other hand, must express their intention to be vaccinated by leaving their information on the website vaccinatepba.gba.gob.ar or in the VacunatePBA application (download here for Android phones or for iPhone), and
wait for them to contact them
.
Unlike what happens in Capital,
all neighbors
of
legal
age
can already sign up
, whether or not they have previous illnesses.
But the shifts are also granted as doses arrive in the country, and
prioritizing
the most vulnerable groups.
How should the turn come?
When vaccines are available for their group, the registered person
receives a notification
by email, by the app or by phone.

What can be done if the shift is considered to be taking longer than it should?
The provincial government asks the neighbor, in principle, to
be patient
.
"They are all being vaccinated.
If they did not call him, they will call him,
" they responded in the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health, before
Clarín's
query
.
They added that, by entering the
"My data" section
of the app, registrants can
check if there are no errors
in their personal data.
The review and eventual
corrections
can also be made through the official website, entering where it says "Citizenship Portal".
Finally, if the data is correct, a query can be made about the case by calling the
toll-free number 148
, which is open 24 hours a day.
Or by email to vaccinatepba@ms.gba.gov.ar.
