(ANSA) - ROME, June 27 - In Italy water could be aerated even during the day in some parts of the Peninsula and it could take "a couple of weeks" for the declaration of a state of emergency linked to drought.
This was stated by the head of civil protection Fabrizio Curcio.
"In some areas of the country it is certainly not excluded that the rationing of water will lead to a temporary closure even in the day hours", said Curcio.
"We are 40-50% less water than the average of recent years and up to 70% less snow".
