There is no need for quarantine when entering Zhuhai from Macau. In the past two months, many Hong Kong people have taken advantage of the 14-day quarantine in Macau and then went directly to Zhuhai, saving 7 days of "quarantine".

The Macau Health Bureau announced tonight (22) that people who have set foot in Hong Kong from midnight tomorrow (23) will not be allowed to travel to the Mainland via Macau within 7 days after the end of medical observation. This means that Hong Kong people will no longer have a way. To save the quarantine period for entering the mainland, you can only wait for the formal customs clearance of the two places.

Entry into Macau requires quarantine at a designated place on the 14th

The Macau Coordinating Center for Coordination of New Coronavirus Infections announced in the evening that, in accordance with the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act", the Health Bureau will start medical observation on the 14th due to the history of residence in Hong Kong starting at midnight tomorrow (23). Within days, it is not allowed to travel to the Mainland via Macau.

The center also reminded that all travelers who have been to Hong Kong and underwent 14-day medical observation at a designated place 14 days before entering Macau will not be required to undergo self-health management for another 7 days after completing the quarantine. The relevant measures will take effect on April 27. It remains unchanged to this day.

From August 7th, the Macau government has updated the local quarantine measures for Hong Kong to enter the country. Hong Kong people entering Macau who have a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 24 hours will only need to compulsory quarantine for 14 days after entering the country; while entering the mainland directly from Hong Kong, they need to " 14+7" or "7+7+7" measures, the former means centralized isolation for 14 days, followed by 7 days of community management, and the latter is a specific quarantine arrangement for entry into Shenzhen, that is, 7 days hotel isolation, plus 7 days hotel or home Isolation and home health monitoring for 7 days before completing the quarantine requirements.

Since Macau and the mainland are exempt from quarantine, some people will choose to travel through Macau to avoid home health surveillance in the last week and go to the mainland after the quarantine is completed on the 14th.
