Damascus, SANA- The Damascus Governorate announced the closure of a number of roads tomorrow, Friday, during the organization of the charity marathon for an association

Damascus Governorate announced the closure of a number of roads tomorrow, Friday, during the charity marathon of the Basma Association to support children with cancer, from 8 am until it ends.

The governorate indicated that the marathon's start line will start from the Sheraton Hotel's garage exit towards the Umayyad Square, then the Mazzeh Highway towards the Mouwasat Square, then the Rabwah road going to the Umayyad Square to the hotel exit from which it was launched.

The governorate indicated that the Rabwa Road will be closed to transportation from Tishreen 6 Bridge to the Umayyad Square and diverted to the intersection of the Children's Hospital and Al-Mouwasat Square, in addition to closing the road coming from Shukri Al-Quwatli Street, Victoria Bridge and leading to the Mazzeh highway from the surface and tunnel levels.

The governorate indicated that the road coming from 17 April Al-Assad University Street towards Al-Mowasat Square will also be closed and transferred to Al-Mazzeh Highway via Ramb Node 17 April, and a partial closure of the road from Al-Mouwasat Square to the Children’s Hospital intersection by reserving a traffic lane for the marathon event and closing the ramp coming down from the intersection of the Children’s Hospital Towards the Rabwah Road that leads to the Umayyad Square to reach the finish line of the marathon at the Sheraton garage exit.
