Tiktuknu: Summary of the day in sports, 21.9 (Sport1)
ESPN's NBA player rankings are nearing their final alignment, and today (Wednesday) we've gone from 25th to 11th. Three players who were ranked in the top 10 last year have dropped out: Anthony Davis, who finished ninth last year, dropped to 19th this time;
Damian Lillard, who dropped from eighth to 14th;
and James Harden, who dropped from 11th to 10th.
The biggest jump belongs to Minnesota rising star Anthony Edwards, who was ranked 52nd last year and has now climbed to 25th.
The one who returned to the ranking after not being included in it last year due to injury is Kawhi Leonard, who finished in 12th place.
Last night places were published 100-26, and where the biggest falls belonged to Ben Simmons (76 vs. 28) and Russell Westbrook (63 vs. 29).
He has a lot to prove this year.
